We collect anonymous information about your use of our site through cookies. Cookies do not tell us who you are. The cookies collect standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring web site addresses. Additionally, we may collect information such as which pages you visit, your length of stay on each page, and your navigation path.

Most of the information provided to you by Moletest’s web site is offered without our collecting any personally identifiable information from you. The only time you will be asked to provide personal information is if you wish to contact us using our online inquiry system regarding technical use of the Website or if you decide to register with Moletest.

Privacy & Security
Your health is an extremely private matter and Moletest has a strict privacy policy that we respect and preserve in all aspects of our business. To comply with the most rigorous data protection standards all personal information is stored in secure-access servers. We use a number of security technologies and procedures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access or disclosure. We keep all personal information separately from images and results to provide security of your information. Moletest will continue to maintain these safety measures to ensure the security of these servers and your personally identifiable information.
All sensitive customer data and records are stored on secure and isolated (not accessible to the outside world) database servers. Passwords to accounts are stored using one-way encryption and so cannot be retrieved or decrypted. All systems, both web servers and database servers sit behind a firewall restricted to only necessary ports for running the website and all sensitive areas of the website (login and account sections) run over industry standard secure SSL-encrypted protocols to prevent interception and unwanted access to accounts. All access to sensitive systems is restricted both physically (only authorised support personnel have physical access to the servers) and electronically (removable devices cannot be plugged into the servers to remove data) as all remote access is carefully controlled by a secure VPN over different ports to normal website traffic.
We have a system in place on the database servers which prevents any account or analysis records from being removed from the system unless by an authorised system administrator, thus ensuring all data is held for the minimum (10 year) retention term. All data is securely & regularly backed up to also ensure that this minimum retention period is met and no data is lost.
Changes to privacy policy
Moletest reserves the right to modify the terms of this privacy policy. We will highlight any changes that are made to the policy, and we recommend that you revisit the policy from time to time.
Third-party access
When you submit your personal information on Moletest's web site, it will not be shared with third parties without your written permission.
How information is used
Moletest collects and uses your personal information to provide you with screening services you have requested. These services will include e-mails to inform you that your results are ready or follow-up if we have recommended you visit your GP.
Information collected from your visit to our web site is used to enhance and evaluate our web site.
How we may use your information:
- o The purposes for which you specifically provided the information, for example, to enable us to contact you, inform and confirm that results are ready and remind you to schedule an appointment with your GP.
- o Our dermatologists may use the results of your screening to train the Moletest expert system to enhance future performance. Such training will be done using your images and results anonymously.
- o We may be required by law to release your personal information if compelled by legal subpoenas, or when the law otherwise requires us to do so.
Screening Services & Disclaimer
Because no screening test can screen for every possible skin disease, it is possible to have a normal result with Moletest and still have some form of skin disease. Specifically, we do not screen for forms of skin cancer that are not associated with a mole. If you are experiencing symptoms of a skin disease SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY. Do not delay, regardless of your Moletest screening results.
Our screening will not detect all forms of skin disease and do not result in medical diagnosis or replace regular contact and follow-up with your doctor. We provide affordable remote image interpretation of suspect moles in an attempt to detect and identify forms of skin cancer that start from or look like a mole. We do not provide diagnostic tests, do not treat disease, and do not receive compensation to refer participants to health care providers.
Moletest will not be accountable to any and all repercussions arising from compromised data or image/s supplied by the customer. The customer is entirely responsible for the integrity of the information supplied – personal details, that the image is of an own mole/s correctly located on the body.
Where a recommendation to visit a GP is made, Moletest will not be held responsible for any personal health repercussions arising from participant’s failure to act upon our recommendations or the participant's failure to supply the contact details of the relevant medical practitioner.
Insurance
Moletest currently does not participate in the medical insurance programme and the cost of our screening services is not covered or reimbursable by medical insurance. Moletest does not file insurance claims nor provide referrals to any medical group or hospital.
