Moletestuk has been set up to provide an easy-to-use, remotely accessible online service for members of the public who are worried about a suspicious mole. Our service provides straight-forward information about skin cancer and gives advice based on highly sophisticated state-of-the-art analysis of a digital image of a suspect mole.

At the heart of the Moletestuk service is a cutting edge expert system created by Dublin Institute of Technology developed by top scientists in the medical field trained and overseen by senior dermatologists.  This uses clear digital images of a suspect mole to be screened allowing us to provide you with the appropriate risk assessment advice, depending on the results of the analysis.

Affordable, quick and discreet
We offer initial screening using images you upload to our site at your convenience. Our fees are affordable because we use the latest technology with only a modest requirement for specialist medical supervision; in short this secure system is highly automated as well as being highly accurate. This allows us to offer you a fast, simple, convenient and affordable service.

You expect total discretion and we provide this by using a high level of encryption and separation of data and images, only accessible by the registered user. Should we discover that you need to consult your doctor, at your instruction, we will write to your GP explaining what advice we have given you and providing our technical results at no further cost.

Moletestuk is not a substitute for existing medical services. What our unique service does provide is a first stage assessment that will either largely eliminate the need for unnecessary biopsies, or, more importantly, give you that vital early warning signal of a potential problem.

In other words, a fast initial screening to give you immediate private access to reassurance that all is well for the present or a recommendation that you seek medical advice; and if so, we will, with your permission send appropriate diagnostic information to your doctor.
Check your body
We all need to check our bodies regularly for signs of changes to our skin. New moles or changes to existing moles can signal trouble and should never be ignored. Skin cancer can develop very slowly, like other cancers, and any of us who have been sunburnt in the past may develop skin cancer many years later. You need to think about exposure to the sun or to UV from a sunbed as a bit like smoking. The UV rays can set off a chain of events that lead to cancer developing just like cigarette smoke can.

Do not wait until it is obviously serious
Doctors despair because patients wait far too long before seeking advice. Particularly with skin cancer, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment can lead to a simple cure. Delay can be fatal and the reason it is common with this type of cancer is because the primary lesions although irritating or unsightly don't generally cause much trouble, i.e. it seems ignorable. So, don't take the chance. If you are even slightly concerned act now - our screening service can help
